**Matthew Palmer **

I am currently a research fellow at the University of Bristol.

Before that, I was a PhD student (also at Bristol), supervised by Alan Haynes (now at Houston) and Jens Marklof.

My current research is into Diophantine approximation and metric number theory.

My CV can be found here (last updated 14th December 2018).

- A version of Vaaler's theorem from Diophantine approximation in number fields, in preparation.
- The Duffin-Schaeffer theorem in number fields, submitted.

- Diagonal approximation in completions of Q,
*Journal of Number Theory*, 147 (2015), 109-132.

In Term 2 of 2018-2019, I taught a graduate course on Diophantine approximation.

In Term 1 of 2017-2018, I taught half of the course Topics in Modern Geometry, with Simon Peacock teaching the other half.

- PhD (2012-2016), University of Bristol.
- MMath (2008-2012), University of Durham.

- January 2018.
